Privacy Policy

The Deerfield Beach Computer Club is a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational entity that operates and provides site visitor resources and services through its official duly certified secure website officially known as the  Deerfield Beach Computer Club.

The purpose of this Privacy policy is to inform site visitors of our policies regarding the collection, handling, use, dissemination and disclosure of Personal Identifiable Information (PII). PII includes but is not limited to Name, Email address(es), Local and Snowbird postal Addresses, Landline and mobile telephone numbers, and demographic and analytics data. PII will be used to contact or identify you.

When you visit our site, you agree to the collection and use of  your PII in relation with this policy. We will not use or share your information with anyone except Current DBCC Board members for membership purposes only. Under no circumstances will your PII be shared with third parties without your oral and/or written consent. Our privacy policy does not apply to, and we cannot control the activities of other advertisers or web sites.

Like many other Web sites, our site makes use of log files. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol ( IP ) addresses, type of browser, Internet Service Provider ( ISP ), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement around the site, and gather demographic information. IP addresses, and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.

Our site uses small files called cookies to store information about visitors’ preferences, record user-specific information on which pages the user access or visit, customize Web page content based on visitors browser type or other information that the visitor sends via their browser. If you wish to disable cookies, you may do so through your individual browser options.

  • The  DBCC will continue to meet via Zoom until we are told that live meetings can be safely resumed  in our classroom. 
  • Zoom meetings are free.
  • We may be resuming live classes at our usual location in November 2021.  Check here throughout the summer and early fall for updates. 
  • Zoom meetings start at 10:00 ET. Sign in time is between 9:30 and 10:00.
  • Unless otherwise announced,  Zoom meetings will be held on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month. 
  • An invitation will be sent to all participants  on the Monday before a Friday meeting.  A reminder e-mail will be sent early that Friday morning. Both emails will include the encrypted link needed to join the Zoom meeting.
  • Membership dues are suspended until further notice. 
  • The sitting Board of Directors will continue to serve in their current positions.
