Privacy Policy

  1. The Deerfield Beach Computer Club (DBCC) Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational entity that operates and provides site visitor resources and services through its official duly certified secure desktop and mobile application website officially known as the  Deerfield Beach Computer Club.
  2. The purpose of this Privacy policy is to inform site visitors of our policies regarding the collection, handling, use, dissemination and disclosure of Personal Identifiable Information (PII). PII includes but is not limited to Name, Email address(es), Local and Snowbird postal Addresses, Landline and mobile telephone numbers, and demographic and analytics data. PII will be used to contact or identify you.
  3. All content on the desktop and mobile versions of the Deerfield Beach Computer Club website, is provided to all visitors for general informational purposes only. We make no representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, adequacy, validity, reliability, availability or completeness of any information on the desktop and mobile versions of the Deerfield Beach Computer Club site.
  4. Under no circumstance shall the Deerfield Beach Computer Club and its Board of Directors  be held liable  for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of the desktop and mobile versions or reliance on any information provided therein.  Continued use of the desktop and mobile applications of the site and reliance on any information contained therein implies consent to this Privacy policy at the user’s own risk,
  5. When you visit our site, you agree to the collection and use of  your PII in relation with this policy. We will not use, share,  trade, or rent your information  with third parties. Our privacy policy does not apply to, and we cannot control the activities of other advertisers or web sites.
  6. Like many other Web sites, our site makes use of log files. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol ( IP ) addresses, type of browser, Internet Service Provider ( ISP ), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement around the site, and gather demographic information. IP addresses, and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.
  7. Our site uses small files called cookies to store information about visitors’ preferences, record user-specific information on which pages the user access or visit, customize Web page content based on visitors browser type or other information that the visitor sends via their browser. If you wish to disable cookies, you may do so through your individual browser options. 
  8. We neither condone nor promote copyright infringement or piracy of any kind. Instructors are responsible for ensuring that the content of their presentations do not include duly copyrighted content without receiving written permission from the author(s). 
  9. Users can unsubscribe to any correspondence by replying with “Unsubscribe Me” in the Subject line.
